A project for a family of three in Pattaya, Thailand.

Our task was to create an ergonomic and maximally functional space that would meet all the needs of our customers.

For this purpose we have redesigned the original layout, increasing the bathrooms and children's room, while reducing the utility room, the entrance to which is located on the side of the courtyard. On the initially open loggia appeared a canopy and a rest area with a topchan.

Since the entrance to the apartment is located non-standard, right in the kitchen area, we had to be as detailed as possible to the question of space planning and take into account many points. We had a goal to combine into a non-trivial composition quite a small cooking area, space for storing kitchen utensils, the necessary cutting off of the dirty zone, as well as a convenient and easily accessible place for helmets.

We solved these issues with a large island and the addition of a spacious shelving unit in the kitchen-living room. It also accommodates a module with a built-in coffee machine, for which there was no space left in the kitchen. To turn a minus into a plus, we made this detail a feature of the interior, tearing off the part with built-in appliances from the floor and using a combination of different materials in the composition, which made the shelving unit resemble a constructor. Between the existing beams there is a mirror, which visually erases the boundary between the ceiling and the wall, logically flowing into the hallway area, and on the left and right the wall is decorated with slabs of fine terrazzo. We used exactly the same technique with the mirror in the two bathrooms.

The interior of the whole apartment is made in calm light colors using teak, a practical and popular material in Thailand. We used it for many details in all spaces, such as furniture and ceiling slats. The accent terracotta color was created thanks to the existing decorative tiles that the developer used to decorate the apartment complex.

WOW! I want such a design.
